WW Components -- Silver Plating
Besides repairing and manufacturing contacts and other switchgear, we can silver plate your parts. We are capable of plating large
piece, up to eight feet in length. All silver plating conforms to Mil. Spec. QQ-S-365D. In many cases, our customers send entire
contact assemblies to cleanup and silver plating only.
To the right are two buss stabs from an Allis Chalmers® breaker. The one on the left has a burned up contact surface and discolored plating.
After the contact area is repaired, it is given heavy silver plating.
The resulting piece can be put back into service and no replacement is needed.
